Elsie Catherine Stucka

Elsie C. Stucka, 93, died of natural causes on Aug 8. She was the wife of Steve Stucka for 56 years and mother to Joe (Ula) Stucka, LouAnn (Tom) Balensiefer, and Steve (Joan) Stucka. She enjoyed the blessings of 7 grandchildren. Elsie was born to Joe and Mary Kasenga in Louisville, CO on Jun 29, 1913. She married Steve on Sept 25, 1943 while he was stationed in Texas with the Army. Upon return to Denver, she devoted herself to raising a family, managing a household, helping the Altar & Rosary Society, and leading a Cub Scout den. Elsie also worked as a teacher's aide at Columbian School. Most recently, Elsie has been living in Boulder near her son Steve. Rosary, Thursday, 7pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Blvd. Funeral Mass, Friday, 9am, Gardens at St. Elizabeth, 2835 W. 32nd Ave. Interment, Mt. Olivet. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Regis Jesuit High School, or St. Catherine's Grade School.
