Emily Anne Parker

Emily Ann Keller-Parker Was born in Carlisle Pennsylvania March 22nd 1930. She attended nursing school in Harrisburg Pennsylvania and became a registered nurse. She worked as a RN for 30 years of her life. She did many nursing jobs in her lifetime, starting as a Military nurse for the Naval reserves. She worked at the Washington hospital center in D.C. as an Operating room nurse. She also worked at the Aurora reginal medical center starting in the early 70's, where she headed the central supply department. She was also a floor nurse, and one of her favorite positions was in the Neonatal intensive care unit, she loved the little babies. Emily was a wonderful nurse who took time to really care about her patients, she read books to her patients and sat with them to comfort them, she even became a manicurist so she could do the ladies nails. When her Grandson was born she was the nurse that took him to the nursery. Emily loved animals and flowers, but most of all she loved us and my Father. Emily enjoyed her home most of all. she enjoyed just being in her home, decorating and having company.
