Eric Owen Anderson

Eric Owen Anderson, 56, passed away on July 2, 2017, having battled cancer with courage and grace. Eric was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, Chi Upsilon Chapter, University of Colorado at Boulder, many of whom were his brothers to the end. Eric was a very good golf caddy in high school and never lost his love for the game. He was an excellent cook and loved trains and travel, with a special affection for the southwest. He enjoyed many genres of music; he was a good guitar and banjo player and a gifted harmonica player. He was blessed with good friends and loved his loyal dog, Bucky, who would sing along with Eric's harmonica. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verne Lorraine (Owen) Anderson and Leonard Gust Anderson, and his aunt and uncle, Fay and Paul Reiter. He is survived by his sister, Karen Fay Anderson (Michael J. Regan III), nephew Andrew M. Regan (Erica Phillips), niece Anna G. Regan, cousin Kimberly Verne Weichel (Carl Weichel) and their son Julian; and cousin Kerry Paul Reiter (Kathlene Reiter), their daughter Julie Poirier (Jason Poirier) and their grandchildren, Ryder and Reese. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, followed by a lunch reception, with interment at 1:30 p.m. at Rocky Mountain Memorial Park, all located at 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado.
