Erin K. Pack, 52 of Centennial, CO passed away Thursday, July 12th after a fatal car accident. She was born in Moses Lake, WA on September 13, 1966 to Richard Kent and Ruby Eileen Whitaker.
Erin graduated from Sylmar High School in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, as Valedictorian of her class, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education and a minor in Computer Science from Brigham Young University in 1991.
She was married to Allen Pack on January 2, 1992 in the Manti, Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Erin was an extremely talented musician who had a beautiful soprano voice and was an accomplished pianist, choir conductor and piano teacher. She was a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Erin loved making everyone feel comfortable and loved, and always extended herself to those on the fringe of any social gathering. She loved eating dark chocolate, reading, and Scandinavian culture. Erin loved working with special needs kids and formed a cub scout den for special needs boys. She also loved supporting and fundraising for the performing arts in the local schools. Erin served an 18 month mission in Helsinki, Finland for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1985-1987. Her beautiful spirit and joyful smile lit up any room she entered.
Erin was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Eileen Chidester Whitaker in 1991 and is survived by her parents, Richard and LeeAnne Whitaker; sisters, Melody Lee Morrow (Richard), Monica Whitaker Sullivan (Mike), Noel Whitaker Lee (Darrel) and Robyn Whitaker Shalvis; her brothers, Richard Kent Whitaker, Jr. (Miriam) and Charles Lloyd Whitaker (Cherie); her loving husband Allen, and her five beautiful children: Jacob Pack, Marion Pack, Adam Pack, Samuel Pack and Nathan Pack.
Her wonderful spirit, joy and talents will be celebrated at a celebration of life/funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at the Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints, 21750 East Dorado Avenue, Centennial, CO 80016.
Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 6601 South Colorado Blvd., Littleton, CO 80121.
