Erland Blume

Erland Bjarne Blume, age 62, died in his home in Centennial, CO on June 4, 2023 after a hard-fought battle against Stage IV Colon Cancer. Bjarne was born on March 29, 1961 and was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1985. He moved to the Denver area after graduation and worked with his uncle at Audio Visual Systems. In 1986 he met Barbara Thorpe, who became his wife in 1988.

After several years working with his uncle at AVS, they started AvCom Media Production where they did video production as well as website and multimedia development. Bjarne was known to be a perfectionist and made many clients happy over the years with his work ethic and quality of work. Outside of work, Bjarne enjoyed skiing, camping (when he was younger), gardening and spending time with his family and dogs.

Bjarne was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Gullvi Blume of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter Lauren, and her husband, Ben Castillo, daughter Kristen A Blume, sister Kristen L Blume, and brother Rick Blume. He is also survived by his dog Benny and 3 granddogs - Cassie, Ruby and Dakota, several nieces and nephews, cousins, an aunt and uncle as well as many, many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado at 10:30am on August 5, 2023. Please visit the Celebration of Life event page to RSVP if you plan to attend.
