Erma Marie (Isley) Brayton, 85, of Federal Heights, Colorado, died Mar. 17, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Ozzie and Marie Isley, Aug. 10, 1931, in Delta, Colorado where she grew up. She graduated from Grand Junction High School and attended Mesa Junior College (now Colorado Mesa University). She married the late George K Brayton on Aug. 16, 1953, and together they moved to Denver and had 3 children. In 1963 they traveled to France for a year of language study and finally to Thies, Senegal, where they served as missionaries for 31 years before relocating to Denver. During their time in Senegal, their fourth child was born. Erma loved the Lord and was a faithful partner in ministry. She was a warm and gracious host to all who entered her home. She prayed daily for those she knew and loved, faithfully interceding on their behalf before the Lord. She had a deep and abiding devotion to her family, friends and co-workers. Erma is survived by 4 children: Kenneth ""Ken"" Brayton (Karen), of Corvallis, OR; Katherine ""Kathy"" Brayton, of Federal Heights, CO, Keith Brayton (Irene), of Bolingbrook, IL; and Karen ""Karenlyn"" Jordan, of Federal Heights, CO. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 nephews. Her brother, Wesley Isley (Nadyne) and her daughter-in-law, Debbie (Jones) Brayton preceded her in death. Her family and friends miss her terribly, but we are comforted knowing that she had a long, happy and blessed life. She is now at peace, free of her aches and pains, reunited with her beloved husband and has begun eternal life with her Lord and Savior in heaven. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Apr. 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Holiday Hills Community Church, 2000 W 92nd Ave, Federal Heights, CO 80260, Pastor Ken Murphy officiant.
