OJEDA, ERNEST, Ret. Army, Sgt. Born in Erie, CO on Dec. 21, 1929, passed away Apr. 28, 2013, in Thornton, CO. Ernie served in the US Army over 23 years, during Korean War and Viet Nam Era. Graduated from Metro State College, he continued his career within DPS as an ROTC instructor, retiring after 20 years. His greatest pride was having successfully mentored many students. He was an avid outdoorsman, sharing fishing, hunting, skiing with his many special friends. He enjoyed travel across the US with his wife. Survived by his loving wife, Shirley Segura-Ojeda; devoted family, Monte Mondragon, Peggy Gill, Cinna Vallejos; grandchildren; three siblings; and sons, Glenn and Dwayne Ojeda. Funeral Service, Friday, 9:00 AM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant St., Thornton. Interment with Full Military Honors, Friday, 12:00 Noon at Ft.
