Ernest J. Tharnish

Ernest J. Tharnish was born on August 31, 1923 and passed away on October 23, 2015. Ernest graduated from St. Ludger's Academy in 1941. He was a WWII Army Corporal and served in the Philippines and occupied Japan. After returning from the war he married Charla G. Cook on April 30, 1949 in Lincoln, NE. They were married for 66 years producing 4 children, E. Douglas Tharnish, Thomas M. Tharnish, Gloria Tharnish-Lowder, Karen E. Helton; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. He is survived by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. A visitaiton will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant St., Thornton, CO. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Dr., Northglenn, CO.
