Estelle Kelley Rivers

ESTELLE KELLEY RIVERS 1921 - 2011 My Mother, Estelle Kelley Rivers, was born in Camden, Arkansas, on January 5, 1921. She died at Cherrelynn Healthcare Facility in Littleton, Colorado, on January 19, 2011. She was married to E. C. Rivers in 1939 and they had four children: Lucy Elizabeth Rivers Aman - from San Antonio, Texas Carolyn Sue Rivers Thomas - Centennial, Colorado (member of STM with her husband Donald) Jack L Rivers - Longview, Texas Ruth Ellen Rivers Stanley - Centennial, Colorado E.C. passed in the late 1990s. She has six surviving grandchildren. One grandchild, Philip Baron Aman, son of Lucy and Earl Aman, preceded her in death. She has eight great-grandchildren. A life-long Baptist always active in her church, she raised her family in a strongly religious atmosphere. There was never a question between right and wrong with her...she believed utterly in God the Father, Jesus Christ our Lord, and the Holy Spirit. Her favorite reading was the Bible and she owned about 10 '"" all heavily marked with her thoughts and outlines of sermons she had heard. Our Mother had a decades-long career as a nurse. Although she liked all areas of nursing, her very favorite assignment was in the delivery room/nursery, where she loved the babies and their mothers . She shared her TLC with all. In 1998, Estelle moved to Colorado to live with Sue and Don. In 2004 she moved to Cherrelyn Healthcare facility in Littleton and remained there until her death. Estelle was one of a set of twins (her twin brother Odell). They were the last of 7 siblings- all of whom preceded her in death. God rest her soul.
