Born in Culbertson, Nebraska July 31, 1924, she moved to Denver in '46 to attend Barnes Business School. While living in a boarding house she met a handsome G.I. who became her husband of 63 years, Patrick Gallavan. They had 3 children, Greg (Mickey), Claudine (Ben), Gay Lynn deceased (Russ), who then produced four grandkids: Alex, Emmory, Juiana, Bridget, whom Grandma doted on. Beside homemaking, Esther, never one to sit idle, shuttled her kids to swimming lessons, band practice, and endless 4-H Club fairs, where she as a leader taught many young girls to sew - one of her passions. Another one was her ""Fleur-de-lis"" Garden Club flowers. She put the same zeal into the next faze of her life, children raised, she has her dream job at Montaldo's. Pat and Esther traveled, built a home in Winter Park, and traveled to countless family reunions where she never failed to produce a beautiful handmade teddybear to be auctioned to the highest bidder. Esther will be remembered by her family and friends for her tenacity and her generous spirit.
