ESTHER ""ECHO"" LYDIA GRIEGO,

Esther Lydia Griego, age 78, of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away October 24, 2018 in Denver, Colorado, peacefully at home.

Funeral services will be held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church on November 3, 2018 beginning with the Rosary at 10:00 am leading into the Funeral Mass at 11:00am officiated by Reverend Robert Reycraft and Reverend Daniel Zimmerschied, with reception to follow.

Esther was born in Trinidad to Felix and Carolina Derrera on February 4, 1940. She left school early in order to help care for her family. Her passion and love was to provide daycare for her grandchildren along with the family and neighborhood friends.

Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Carolina Derrera; her son Ray Jerry Griego, and her siblings Johnny, Gene, Priscilla and Emma.

Esther is survived by her husband, of 61 years, Jerry Griego, and her 4 children and their spouses Tim (Debbie) Griego , Brenda (Joe) Quintana, Terry (Ben) Trujillo and Tammy (Ramon) Trujillo; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and surviving siblings Tina, Stella, Tommy, Berta, Anthony, Louise, and Vicki along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Private Interment Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
