Esther D. Mehrens

Our precious mother left us July 31, 2011 to be in the presence of the Lord. Born on March 5, 1919 in Botna, Iowa, she married Harry (Bud) Mehrens July 4, 1942. Falling in love with Colorado, she wanted to settle here after WWII. They raised five children: Barbara (Michael) Padbury; Janet (Steve) Mueller; Joyce (Bob) Mohr; Mary Tenantry; and Keith (Terry) Mehrens. She has 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 3pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood with a reception to follow. Private committal at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Esther's name to Hospice of St. John, 1320 Everett Court, Lakewood, CO 80215, which she receommends to all her friends.
