Esther Lenora Mueller

Esther Mueller passed away on January 2, 2015, her 96th birthday, at the Suites of Someren Glen in Centennial, Colorado. Esther Lenora Gressman was born January 2, 1919 in Washington, Kansas to Frank and Lena (Merritt) Gressman. She graduated from Washington High School, attended business school in Lincoln, Nebraska and worked in the Washington County welfare office for six years prior to being a homemaker for many years. She married Quentin Hugo (Q. H.) Mueller in Oskaloosa, Kansas on November 12, 1943, and they were married for 35 years prior to his death in 1979. Esther lived in Washington, Kansas for most of her life and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Eastern Star, and Fidelia Literary Club. She also enjoyed a variety of volunteer work. In 1996 she moved to Colorado to be closer to her family. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Henry Curtis Gressman, and her husband. She is survived by her sister Norma and husband Richard Biewald of Chandler, Arizona; her daughter Mary Ann Foster and husband Greg of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren Chase Foster of Denver, Colorado, and Maren Schroeder and husband Derek of Littleton, Colorado; and great-grandchildren Benedikte and Rita Schroeder. A memorial service and celebration of Esther's life will be held at Our Father Lutheran Church in Centennial, Colorado on Saturday, January 17 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent in Esther's memory to Our Father Lutheran Church, 6335 S.
