Ethan Jacob Edelman

Ethan Jacob Edelman, loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, soldier and friend to many, died on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2015, at his home in Denver, Colorado. He was born on September 30, 1991 and was enrolled as a first-year student at Metropolitan State University. Ethan served bravely for over 3 years in the United States Army obtaining the rank of Specialist in combat tour in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a first class Infantryman. He served from January 2012 until May 2015 with an honorable discharge from active duty. During the course of his service, Ethan was awarded with the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the NATO Medal. Survivors include his father Jeff Edelman, mother Leslie McGivern, stepmother Melissa Edelman, stepfather Matt Phelan, twin sister Rachel Edelman, younger brother and sister Sam and Sarah Edelman, Grandma Lang, special friend and cousin Makayla, and cousins Emma, Leah, Marissa, David, Alisa, Rachel, Kate, Matthew, Ryan, Melinda, Jeffrey, Eric, Bradley, his aunts and uncles, as well as his fellow military comrades whom he considered his brothers. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, November 19 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Boulevard, Denver. Relatives and friends are welcome for burial at 2:30 PM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""B"", 3698 S. Sheridan Boulevard, Denver. Memorial contributions in Ethan's name are welcomed at National Alliance to End Veteran Suicide or Freedom Service Dogs.
