Eugene W. “Gene” Fahey was born on Armistice Day, November 11, 1936, to Bertha (Linenberger) and William H. Fahey, Jr on the family farm in Quinter KS. He served in the United States Air Force in the 1950’s as a military policeman in Germany. He had various careers including banking, florist, barber, truck driver, service station owner and cab driver.
He married Barbara Jan Motooka on June 10, 1963, in Denver Colorado. They had two children Eugene, Jr and Valerie. Gene had 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren when he passed. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his brother Ronald Fahey of Green Valley, AZ, his son Eugene Jr (Kathryn) Fahey of Edmonton, KY, and his daughter, Valerie (Kenny) of Brighton, CO. Gene is also survived by his grandchildren, Leilani (Billy) Loepp, Lacey Craven, Ryan Fahey, Alissa Fahey and Eugene William Fahey. Gene’s great-grandchildren Nate Swan, Kaleigh Swan, Katelyn Swan, AJ Whitney and Aiden Whitney.’
Visiting for family and friends will be from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, March 9 at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton.

Graveside with military honors will be held at 2:00pm Friday, March 10 at Fort Logan
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made on Gene’s behalf to the Wounded WarriorProject www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Gene requested that all attendees wear casual attire (no suits or ties). Bronco shirts are encouraged!!!
