Eugene Henry Manning

June 2, 1939 — January 4, 2013

Mr. Eugene Henry Manning, affectionately known as ""Geno,"" was born to Jesse Manning and Naomi Rose Manning on June 2, 1939 Eugene received his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School system. He graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1957. Eugene entered the Air Force on September 1957 as a Instrumentalist and served 8 years in the Norad Band. His love for music created a vast collection of classical and jazz selections which he, his wife and many friends enjoyed. Upon leaving the Air Force, Eugene entered Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Later in life, Eugene confessed his love for Christ at Boston Street Church of Christ and was baptized February 10, 1993. On December 30, 1996, Eugene was united in Holy Matrimony to Cheryl A. Dennis and they shared many years of happiness together. His was a valuable employee of Denver Housing Authority, Carl's Systems and Super Value. Eugene was a loving and caring person who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Eugene Henry Manning was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary M. Mc Clain and Ann Keller and three brothers, Samuel Barnett, Richard Manning and Herbert Manning. Those left to cherish his memory are: his devoted wife, Cheryl A. Manning; two sons, David Walker and Jon Walker; two brothers, Thomas Barnett (Mary), William Manning (Anna) and sister-in-law, Pat Fisher; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
