Eugene Michalski passed away on October 23, 2019 and Patricia Michalski passed away on October 24, 2019.

Eugene ""Mitch"" Matthew Michalski left this earth on October 23, 2019, yet will always be in our hearts. He was born January 3, 1938 to Matthew and Lillian (nee Hilgart) Michalski in Park Falls, Wisconsin. Mitch graduated from Lincoln High School in Park Falls in 1956 and continued his schooling at Superior State College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He met his beloved wife Patricia ""Pat"" while stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado during his service in the United States Army. Eugene and Pat were married at St. Anthony's Church in Park Falls on June 20, 1964 after which they settled in Colorado.
Eugene attended the school of television at DeVry University and was employed as a television engineer with KBTV and KUSA in Denver for approximately 40 years.

His wife Patricia followed him shortly after his own passing. He is survived by his son, Dr. Daniel Scott Michalski and his son-in-law, David Paul DeVito, of Arlington, Virginia and by his eldest son, Anthony Wayne Michalski, his daughter-in-law Kristina (nee Plummer) Michalski, and two grandchildren, Nicholas Christian and Emily Madeline Marie of Parker, Colorado. He is also survived by sisters Marlys Jehn of Park Falls and Sharon Bay of Cumberland, Wisconsin in addition to many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Lillian, in 1978 and 1998, respectively.

Funeral services will be held on December 6, 2019 at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 West 80th Avenue in Arvada followed by an internment at Fort Logan National Cemetery along with his beloved wife, Patricia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.

On October 24, 2019, the world lost an amazing and kind soul following a cruel struggle with Alzheimer's. Patricia ""Pat"" (nee Newton) Michalski was born on October 6, 1937 to Arthur F. and Patricia A. (nee Yowell) Newton in Winfield, Kansas. Pat was raised in Pueblo, Colorado and Colorado Springs until the family settled in Alamosa, Colorado where she attended high school and graduated from Adams State College with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Pat met her beloved husband, Eugene, while employed as a teacher at the United States Army installation at Fort Carson, Colorado. Eugene and Pat were married on June 20, 1964 at St. Anthony's Church in Park Falls, Wisconsin, after which they settled permanently in Colorado where she taught for Adams 12 Five Star Schools at McElwain Elementary in Thornton, Colorado.

Her husband Mitch preceded her shortly before her own passing. Pat is survived by her son, Dr. Daniel Scott Michalski and her son-in-law, David Paul DeVito, of Arlington, Virginia and by her eldest son, Anthony Wayne Michalski, her daughter-in-law Kristina (Plummer) Michalski, and two grandchildren, Nicholas Christian and Emily Madeline Marie of Parker, Colorado. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Arthur Newton, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and former students whose lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held on December 6, 2019 at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 West 80th Avenue in Arvada followed by an internment at Fort Logan National Cemetery along with her beloved husband, Eugene.
