Eugene H. Morton, a talented engineer, a devoted husband and father passed away on September 11, 2010. Eugene was born in Baltic Michigan. His parents Francis Arthur Morton and Ruth Turner Morton, and his wife Janice Bengtilla Morton preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Frank Morton, wife Betty and their children. Also by his son Gerald Allen Morton, wife Rebekah Nash Morton and their children, Amy Lou Bastian, David Anthony Bastian, Teal Elizabeth Morton, Kaitlyn Michelle Bastian, Janelle Eliese Morton, Devin Timothy Bastian. Also by his daughter Ann Elizabeth Hall, husband Joseph Weston ""Trey"" Hall, and their children, Ryan McMillan Hall, wife Adelyn Stroup Hall, and Dallin Winslow Hall. Eugene was an Eagle Scout, a pilot for the Army in the Korean War and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. He was a successful and talented Engineer whose work was done in the Hawaiian Islands and surrounding Polynesia, as well as Colorado and the Continental United Sates. He worked for Simons, Pacific Corporation and Dillingham Construction. He was a gifted athlete who excelled at tennis and golf. As a young man he loved skiing the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Eugene and his wife Jan spent their retired years as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their missions took them to Yerevan, Armenia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Their last mission was in New Delhi, India. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18th, 11:00 am, at the Coal Mine Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10209 W. Coalmine Avenue, Littleton Colorado 80123, followed by burial at Littleton City Cemetery, 6155 South Prince Street, Littleton, CO 80210. All are welcome.
