Eugene Clifford Owen

Eugene Clifford Owen, aged 90, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024 at Someren Glen in Centennial, CO. 

He was born on April 13, 1934, in Peoria, Illinois to Lindsay E. Owen and Irma L. Kehlenbach. He grew up in Washburn, Illinois, and served in the Army Corps (reserve) overseas in Europe and the US between 1956-1958. 

He was a proud graduate of Bradley University, Peoria in Business Administration and spent a long career with the Continental Casualty Company (CNA Financial) as an insurance adjuster. He was a long-time resident of Rockford and Peoria, Illinois before moving to Castle Pines, CO to be near family in his later years. 

His biggest passions included his beloved 1960 Ford Thunderbird, antique German clocks, travel, hiking, mysteries and science fiction. 

He is deeply missed by his family and survived by his sister, Janet S. Iliff of Denver, 4 nephews and nieces, and 2 great nephews. 

He will be laid to rest at the Linn Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn, Illinois.
