Eunice Marie Burnham

June 14, 1918 — July 20, 2014

Eunice Marie Burnham passed away at the age of 96 in her home on July 20, 2014. She was born on June 14(Flag Day), 1918 in Washburn, WI, and will be interred at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. As a member of the ""Greatest Generation"", she grew up during the Great Depression and participated in the WW II effort. Eunice was educated in Washburn and Ashland, WI where she attended Burn's Business College. She held bookkeeping positions in Tulsa, OK and Denver, CO where she met and married Robert James Burnham, her husband of 40 years. They were married June 12, 1948. Eunice stayed at home to raise their three children. During that time, she was active in the Girl Scouts as a Brownie Leader and in the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother. She was a member of the Altar Society and Women's Auxiliary at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and for many years, she supported the PTA and Book Club at Cathedral Catholic School. In 1964, Eunice resumed bookkeeping and teaching duties at Holy Rosary Catholic School until 1969. She and Robert continued to be active, contributing members of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and maintained strong friendships with the sisters and priests for many years. Eunice's husband, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Linda (husband Keith Bull), David (wife Suzie), and Jerry (wife Lori); grandchildren: Maggie, Zeke, Jim, Megan, Bob, and Alex; and great grandchildren: Grace, Sophie, Lillie, Lochlan, Keeley, Wolf, Aidan, Dominic, Abby, and Ayla. She is also survived by life-long friends: Isabelle Moe and Jean Hagstrom. She was loved and will be missed by all. Funeral Mass, Friday, July 25th at 10:30AM, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial Services, Monday, July 28th at 2:30PM, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Staging Area ""B"", Denver.
