Eva E. Cernich was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at age 96. Eva E. Cernich, formerly of Lafayette, Colorado was born in Albia, IA to Roman and Josephine. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joe, John and Frank; sisters, Mary Cernich and Ann Peter. Survived by sisters, Catherine Brown, Dorothy Smith, Louise Brown, numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary Thursday, 7PM, Mullen Home, Little Sister of The Poor, 3629 West 29th Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11AM, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette, 715 Cabrini Drive, Lafayette Colorado 80026. Burial in Lafayette Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Little Sisters of The Poor, 3629 West 29th Avenue, Denver, CO 80211.Eva was a registered nurse for 40 years. She was an affliate of the Daughters of Charity, serving the poor and suffering in Lafayette, Colorado. She was a Member of 1st community of the Neocatechumental Way since 1994 in the parish of St. Thomas More, Centennial, Colorado and a member of VFW Auxillary #1771, Lafayette, Colorado for 45 years. She was a retired member of the Immaculate Conception Altar and Rosary Society in Lafayette. Eva was lovingly cared for the past five years of her life by the Little Sisters of the Poor, Mullen Home in Denver Colorado.
