Davis, Evan Donald “Don”

Don passed away at Lakewood Memory Center after an 8 year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rose; four children Daniel (Donna) Davis of Roswell, NM, Susan (Douglas) Brown of Evergreen, CO, John (Zahra) Davis of Lafayette, CO, James (Jennifer) Davis of Fredonia, NY; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Don served in the US Navy from 1944-1946, US Army from 1950-1952. He served in the Ohio National Guard between those years. He was very proud of service years and was a true patriot. Don’s lifelong passion was acting, and he was always “on stage”. He appeared in local productions from high school, college and wherever he lived. His humor was always present and he genuinely liked people.
His civilian career for over 30 years was with the Social Security Administration and helped account for his family’s moves-20 in all. In retirement he loved the high mountain lakes for fishing.
