Evelyn Healy

Evelyn Mary Healy, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on April 13, 2008 in Aurora, CO. The youngest of four children born to Winifred and William Murphy, Evelyn came into this world on March 6, 1926 in Chicago. She married John J. Healy on June 15, 1946, and together they had six children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Evelyn's life was devoted to her family. Kind, compassionate, and loving, Evelyn volunteered at schools and various charitable organizations in Illinois, Missouri, and most recently in Colorado. An avid reader of mysteries, she volunteered at local libraries throughout her life. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, John; children Kathleen Moore, John, Richard, Eileen Wegrzyn, Barbara Cecil, and Brian; her grand and great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews and their children. A mass will be said at St. Michael The Archangel Church, 19099 E. Floyd Ave., Aurora, 10:30 am on Saturday, April 19.
