Evelyn E. Jansen

February 3, 1930 — July 16, 2012

Evelyn Elizabeth (Tacheny) Jansen, of Broomfield, Colorado, died in peace Monday July 16, 2012 at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, Colorado. She was 82. Visitation will be held Friday, July 20, 2012 from 4-8pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada. A Catholic Mass is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11am, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton, Colorado. Evelyn was born February 3, 1930 to Nicholas and Agnes Tacheny in Mankato, Minnesota. She spent her childhood in Mankato. She was married to Joseph P. Jansen on June 28, 1952, in Mankato. This was her Mother and Father's 25th wedding anniversary. Evelyn was a fulltime mother, and she also spent time as an in-home caregiver. She is survived by seven sons, Richard (Bonnie) Jansen, Joseph Jansen, Bill (Sharon) Jansen, Marty (Jessica) Jansen, Nicholas Jansen, Paul Jansen, Henry Jansen; six daughters, Barb Jansen, Margaret Jansen, Theresa (Alan) Jansen-Kolf, Rosanne (Robert) Fulton, Anna Jansen, Laura (Steven) Pethick; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Charlotte (Tacheny) Jansen, Sr. June Marie Tacheny, Bernice (Tacheny) Wilmes, Karen (Tacheny) Lynch; sister-in-law Rita Tacheny; and Many Cherished Friends. Evelyn was proceeded in death by her husband Joseph P. Jansen; two brothers, Dwayne and Marvin Tacheny; granddaughter Autumn Rose Jansen; most recently brother-in-law Werner Jansen; and Other Cherished Family and Friends.
