Evelyn Kimsey

Evelyn Kay Kimsey, age 82, died at Brookdale Lakewood on 19 February 2016. Born 3 March 1933 in Pueblo, she attended Central High and Pueblo Junior College, married David Kimsey, raised a family and worked at SCSC in the Sociology Dept. Moving to Littleton in 1976 she went to work for the Colorado Dept. of Labor until retiring in 1993. Evelyn was deeply involved in League of Women Voters and local political campaigns. Survivors include her sons Kevin (Valerie) and Kent and her grandchildren Ian, Laura and Daniel. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, David and Fern Todd, and her brother David and sisters, LaVonna and Edith. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, 23 Feb, at Horan&McConaty, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood. Interment will be at Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a hospice of choice would be welcome.
