Evelyn Monckton

Evelyn Monckton was a wife, mother, and grandmother to nine grandchildren. Of those three titles, ""Grandma"" was her favorite! On June 25th, she passed away following a massive stroke at the age of 64. She held on throughout the day until all of her grandchildren visited her and let go a few minutes after the last grandchild left. Evelyn was surrounded by her husband and three children when she went on to eternal life.

 

Evelyn was an accomplished potter, world traveler, and amazing gardener. She loved ""spa days"", hummingbirds, vodka martinis, and her dog Frankie. She believed it was important to always have a decent pedicure, a stocked bar, and to serve abundant appetizers whenever company dropped by. She was a native Coloradoan and loved the mountains, fishing, hunting, and camping. She really loved to travel with her husband Tom. She filled her passport with stamps from over thirty countries from five different continents, and made friends with people wherever she visited.

 

Evelyn loved her husband, children, and grandchildren passionately and was truly the matriarch of our family and will be greatly missed.
