Evelyn Lucille(Fredericksen) Padgett, 88, of Denver, passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2012. She was born in Denver on October 25, 1923 and lived a full life, growing up in Denver where she graduated from Manual High School in 1941. She married Lynn Ira Padgett on December 22, 1945. They celebrated 40 years together. She was preceded in death by husband Lynn and son Patrick Ira Padgett. She is survived by two children, Becky (Kent) Knight, and Paul (Arnie); daughter-in-law Alicia King Padgett; 2 grandchildren, Andrea (Mike) Keough, Doug Knight; and 2 great-grandchildren, David and Thomas Keough. Throughout her life she was involved with: Danish Sisterhood of America Ellen Lodge 21, Washington Park Seniors Group, Submarine Veterans of WWII, bowling leagues, card playing, was an avid Rockies and Broncos fan , and loved travelling throughout the world including New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Europe, and Central America. Services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10 am at Washington Park United Methodist Church (1955 E. Arizona Ave., Denver). A memorial celebration of her life will immediately follow the service on Saturday at Loews Denver Hotel (4150 E. Mississippi Ave., Denver, approx. Colorado Blvd. and E. Mississippi). A private interment will be held at a later date at Ft. Logan National Cemetery where she will rest in peace with husband Lynn.
