Evelyn Wise

July 10, 1920 — December 20, 2006

Evelyn Louise Holland was born in Denver July 10th 1920 to Albert and Florence Holland. Evelyn was one of three children in the family. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents and one sister. Her brother Albert 88 years old currently divides his time between Denver and Rand Colorado. Evelyn attended Denver Schools graduating from North High School in 1938. Several classmates from North High and Evelyn had a monthly get together which she was forced to quit due to her poor health this year. Evelyn's father Albert was sickly as a result of being gassid in Germany during World War I and eventually died from those injuries. Her mother had to do most of the family work. And all the children including Evelyn were expected to help with the household... Evelyn married Myrle K. Wise July 12th 1938. The ceremony was conducted by a justice of the peace in Lakewood. At her death Myrle and Evelyn were married 68 years 5 months and 8 days. Evelyn and Myrle were baptized at the same time at ther Sherman Street Church of Christ in 1940. Evelyn and Myrle had two children, a son Alan and his wife Carol that live in California, a daughter Diane and her husband Nelson Bonnell who live in Arvada. Evelyn had 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other relatives. Evelyn had several passions in life, her children, supporting Myrle in his career, being a housewife and keeping an orderly house, and travel. She kept extensive scrapbooks of their travels. Evelyn loved to travel and she and Myrle made several cruises to the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Alaska. They traveled to most major American cities and throughout Europ and England. And after retirement spent winters in San Clement where she made many friends. Evelyn made many friends during her life, she was deeply loved by Mryle and her family and she will be greatly missed.
