Evelyn "Evie" Baker

Evelyn Darlene Baker was needed in Heaven and was called back on Tuesday November 3, 2020. She passed away peacefully at her home in Littleton, Colorado. Evie was born on January 17, 1938 to John and Hannah Schneider. Evie was born in Nebraska but was raised and grew up in Racine, Wisconsin. In 1957 Evie moved to Englewood, Colorado, Evie loved going fishing and boating with her husband Floyd and beating him in a game of canasta. She lived her life for her husband and her family and loved them with all her heart, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world. Her eyes and face would light up whenever they walked into the room. Evie was the most loving. selfless, caring and giving person with a heart of gold and was loved by so many over her lifetime and considered a grandma to so many kids in the neighborhood over many years.

Evie is survived by her husband Floyd Baker; children Lori Shaffer (Doug); Jeffery Davis (Kim); Larry Grueschow; grandchildren Ashley Mares Elliot, Chris and Steven Mares; Nicholas Davis (Rachelle); Samantha Davis (Jess) and Sarah LeMark. Evie's great-grandchildren include Kirah, Brielle, Sienna, Kellan, Claire, Emma, Keira, Amelia, Emma and Ava. Evie is also survived by her brother Robert Schneider (Kay) and several nieces and nephews.

Evie is proceeded in death by her parents John and Hannah Schneider; siblings Donny, Betty and Ronnie; granddaughter Jessica Davis and nephew Robby Schneider.

My wife, our momma, grandma, nana and friend Evie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
