Everett Carlson

Everett W. Carlson, 79 of Lakewood passed away on February 28, 2013. The Memorial service will be at 1 pm, March 8, 2013, Concordia Lutheran Church, 13371 W. Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Horan & McConaty. Everett was born in Kiowa Colorado to Elmer and Clara Carlson in 1933. He grew up on the Carlson homestead 8 miles NE of Kiowa. Everett graduated valedictorian of his class of five at Kiowa High School and continued on to receive his BS in Theology from Seattle Pacific College. Everett was married to Marjorie Sass in 1953, they were married for 59 years. Everett worked at Gates Rubber Company for 30 years as a Computer Numeric Control CNC machinist. Retirement was good for Everett he continued with the loves of his life: family, friends, being outdoors, photography and bowling on Monday mornings. Everett is survived by his wife Marge, two children Edward and Lorraine, two brothers Marvin and Carol, a sister Leona, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and other family and friends. Everett is preceded in death by Elmer his father, Clara his mother and brother Edward. Everett was a kind, honest and gentle man who deeply cared for his family and friends. He loved God, his Family and Friends. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
