Everett Dean Verdoorn Born: October 20, 1937 Sioux City, Iowa Passed: August 11, 2014 Littleton, Colorado Everett D. Verdoorn, age 76, of Lone Tree peacefully passed away on August 11, 2014 surrounded by his family in Littleton, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy; his daughters Mary (Doug) Amen of Lakewood and Amy Verdoorn of Lakewood; granddaughters, Carly and Caley; honorary ""daughter"" Brenda Stifel, brother Dale Verdoorn of Scottsdale, AZ; and sister Carol (Theron) Beach of Kremmling, CO along with an abundance of treasured family and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Enni; and, brothers Rich, Don and Art. Everett was a respected custom homebuilder in the Metro Denver area for the majority of his life. Along with his passion for his profession, he had a passion for family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Visitation, Thurs., 3-7 PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth, Lakewood. Funeral Service, Fri., 10 AM, Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1390 Brentwood in Lakewood with burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery.
