Ezequiel Cortes Quiles

Ezequiel Cortes Quiles passed away on December 6, 2017 in Thornton, Colorado at age 22. He was born on September 27, 1995 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He is the dear son of Yolanda Quiles Serrano and Ricardo Cortes Rivera. He lived in Arecibo and Isabela, Puerto Rico, and Thornton, Colorado. Ezequiel wanted to become a lawyer, and left Puerto Rico determined to build a better life. His adventurous way of seeing life and reaching for higher grounds made him live life to its fullest potential, without being afraid of the unknown. Ezequiel was very charismatic and had an easy way of attracting people into his life who loved him for who he was; funny, a dreamer, strong willed and wise beyond his years. Ezequiel loved spending time with his brother Saul, and his friends. He loved singing and listening to music, lifting weights, playing basketball and video games, hiking, dancing, and most important, writing poems about love and life. Ezequiel is survived by his mother, Yolanda Quiles Serrano and his father, Ricardo Cortes Rivera. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13th, 5:00PM - 8:00PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton. Ezequiel and his brother Saul will be returned to Puerto Rico for final services and burial in Santa Cruz Cemetery in Arecibo.
