Floreen F. Kitashima

Flo was born on March 18, 1936, in Akron, Colorado.  She graduated from West High School in Denver and after marrying Akira "Akie", resided in the Thornton/Denver area for 65 years. 

Flo was a devoted wife and mom, a 4-H sewing & cooking leader, and loved supporting her sporting children throughout their academic lives.  She loved the Lord, treasured her ladies Bible study group, singing in the choir and and dancing whenever she could grab a partner. She enjoyed her 20 year bookkeeping career until she retired at age 65. 

Flo is survived by her three grateful kids and spouses, Vanda (Mike) Howell, Bryan (Shari Saiki) Kitashima and Shirlene (Tim) Kulin.  She was blessed to have 4 grandchildren – Elliott Howell 30, Lucca Kitashima 21, Anahleah Kulin 15, and Macallan Kulin 10.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Akira Kitashima and will be buried with him at Fort Logan National Cemetery. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 12:30  pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado. Interment will immediately follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 2pm Staging Area A.
