Florence ""Flo"" Warder

July 17, 1924 — February 9, 2017

Florence ""Flo"" Warder Passed away February 9, 2017. She was born July 17, 1924 in Paw Paw, Michigan to Max and Marianne Majchrowicz. Flo is survived by son Rob (Lori) Warder, daughter Char (Kip) Howell, and grandkids Cory Simpleman, Melissa and Evan Warder, step grand daughters Duncan and Parker Howell , brother Al Majchrowicz and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband Bob Warder, grandson Callen Howell, and six older sisters. Flo grew up on a farm in Paw Paw, Michigan before moving to Chicago after high school to work and be with her older sisters. She held jobs at a candy company, worked for attorneys, and finally a oil and gas company, while attending night school. She loved the city and was involved in church choirs and loved going to dances. It was the oil and gas company that brought her to Denver in 1960, as they asked her to relocate with the company. Flo was single and loved to ski so she took the opportunity and never looked back. In Denver she continued working in oil and gas, skiing and traveling with friends. Flo met her husband Bob at their apartment complex on Pearl Street in Denver. They were married on April 4, 1964. Bob and Flo moved to southeast Denver and raised two kids. As a family, they were very active with camping, traveling, and Denver Bronco games as long time season ticket holders. Flo also enjoyed bowling, gardening, all sports, and casinos. She went back to work in bookkeeping for attorneys and later enjoyed working as a classroom aid at a church pre-school program. After her husband's death and nearly 40 years of marriage, Flo remained in the family home until moving to Oakhurst Towers (Brookdale Tamarac Square) Independent Living, where she enjoyed many years of activities and friendship. She continued vacationing with family, specifically the annual summer Colorado mountain trip always ending at Glenwood Springs. Flo was a parish member of the Church of the Risen Christ in Denver since it was established in 1967, and was involved in their Silverado Club and activities. Please give your condolences to the Warder family.
