Survived by her sister Marvel Coleman, daughters Fay Yakish and Laura Geron and son Edward Geron (Donna Nuce), eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray J. Geron, daughter Kay Biltoft, and grand-daughters Rachel Yakish and Erika Geron.
Florence was born in Ouray, Colorado. She worked as a waitress at the Chipeta Café in Montrose, Colorado until she met and married her spouse Ray J. Geron on 20 January 1951. They then moved to Golden, Colorado for Ray’s job. Flo kept busy raising the four children but eventually returned to waitressing at the Copper Kitchen Restaurant as the children got older.
Florence loved to crochet and made beautiful projects for all the family. She was an amazing cook, and everyone will treasure the family Ravioli recipe that was made at Christmas every year. Family was her most important priority. The family loved to camp when the children were younger. When one daughter married a Nebraska farmer, she and Ray traveled many times to Nebraska for the annual harvest. After Ray and Flo retired, they enjoyed traveling around the country with friends. Flo enjoyed many friendships at Sunrise Assisted Living where she spent her final years.
The family would like to thank the staff of Gateway Hospice and Sunrise Assisted Living Westminster for the care and attention devoted to her during her time there.
