Flossie passed with peace and grace on October 21, 2018 with her family by her side.
On that day, she was reunited with the love of her life, Jerry Mashek. He preceded her in death by nearly six years. They were married on August 28, 1948 and spent 64 loving years by each other's side. Together, they danced, traveled, raised four children, always held hands and every day lived the true meaning of their wedding vows.
Flossie had the incredible job of being a âstay at home Momâ assuring that the four kids always had the guidance that they needed. She worked as a school aid after the children were raised and helped care for grandchildren and great-grandchildren after she retired.
Through her actions Mom taught us to love each other unconditionally and to always be there for each other.
People often called Mom âsuch a sweet heartâ. May that always be the way you remember her.
Flossie is survived by her four children, Rich (Barb), Peggy, Pam, and Randy (Peggy); nine grandchildren, Zach (Breanne), Ben (Christian), Jami (Jake), Lisa (Matt), Amber, Adam, Andrea (Nick), Matt, and Chris; five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Camden, Brennan, Cooper, and Quinn; one sister, Imagene Briggs of Troy, Missouri who says she and Flossie were always close and had a happy life together.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
