Frances M. Dobson Thompson, age 97, passed away on January 1, 2024, in Loveland, CO. She was born on July 21, 1926, in Pueblo, CO, to Nick and Anna Buccola.

Fran's journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and a deep appreciation for family. A proud graduate of Central High School in 1944, Fran embarked on a life filled with meaningful connections and profound experiences.

During her time at the Pueblo Ordnance Depot, fate led her to Ralph A. Dobson, whom she married in 1945. Together, they welcomed a son, Ralph Jr, in 1946. Fran's dedication to family endured even after the passing of her beloved husband in 1965.

In 1967, Fran found new companionship and joy with Darwin (Tom) Thompson. Their marriage blended two families, and together they shared a passion for dancing and exploring the world. Tragically, Fran faced another loss with Tom's passing in December 1986.

Fran, a proud Italian, discovered immense joy in the kitchen, where she crafted culinary delights that reflected her love for her family and friends. No one left her home without savoring a delicious meal followed by a delectable dessert, as cooking was her profound expression of love.

Known for her insatiable curiosity, Fran found joy in life's little pleasures, appreciating the beauty that surrounded her. Her infectious laughter and zest for life left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

Fran is survived by her son Ralph Dobson of Loveland, CO, daughters Ann Conley of Tacoma, WA, and Carol White (Jay Morgenstern) of Greeley, CO. Her sister, Annette Ball of Longmont, CO, remained a cherished confidante throughout Fran's life. Fran leaves behind a legacy of love through her 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of family and friends whom she adored.

She is preceded in death by her sister Barbara Teed and brother Nick Buccola. Fran's memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In celebrating her life, let us remember the joy she brought to all and the enduring love that will continue to connect us in spirit.

Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11am at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S Sheridan Blvd. Denver. Reception to follow at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80227 and burial at 3pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.
