Frances Zepeda Martinez

Frances, 76, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away October 25, 2018.

Frances was born on August 14, 1942 in Mercedes, Texas. She moved to Colorado as a child and lived here every since, graduating from Adams City High School. Frances worked in floral design as a florist at a local greenhouse. She and her husband celebrated life together for nearly 40 years. Frances loved to travel, enjoyed doing crafts and loved seeing her family every weekend. She always cherished the quiet time at nearby lakes, while fishing, with her husband. Frances loved art and learned to paint landscapes late in life where she discovered she had a hidden talent. She enjoyed many types of music, but Elvis Presley was always her favorite.

She is survived by her husband, Jose (Joe) Martinez; siblings, John (Charrito) Zepeda, Andrew (Gloria) Zepeda and Patricia (Gerald) Gallegos; aunt, Maria Zepeda Sanchez; and nieces and nephews, Shelley, Sarah, Christie, Chris and Jason.

A Funeral Mass honoring Frances will be Friday, November 2, 2018, beginning at 11:00 AM, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 2361 East 78th Avenue, Welby, Colorado 80229. Private Committal Services will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a future date.
