Francis P. Weston

78, a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and hospital administrator, died at his home, peacefully, in prayer, and surrounded by family on July 6, 2011. The youngest of five children and born in Sutton, Nebraska, Frank graduated from St. Benedicts College, served in the U.S. Military, and then earned his Masters Degree in Hospital Administration from St. Louis University. In 1958, Mr. Weston moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where he was the chief executive officer at St. Mary Corwin Hospital for over twenty years. He continued his work in hospital administration in Craig, Colorado, and Susanville, California, before his retirement to Aurora, Colorado in 1995. Named ""Man of the Year"" in 1987 by the Craig Daily Press, Frank's professional, community, and church service was longstanding and deep. He maintained association with the Colorado Hospital Association, where he had served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and membership with Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Frank's life was most poignantly touched by his love for and by his wife of 42 years, Dolores Arellano Weston, who died in April 2002. Together, they raised five children in Pueblo, Colorado and truly enjoyed life, friends, and family. In retirement, Frank kept active as a volunteer usher with the Denver Center for Performing Arts, choir member with St. Michael, weekly prayer groups, bridge, singing, thorough analysis of the Denver Post, and love of the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed life, music, sports, and his dog Monet. A humble and kind man of integrity, faith, and conviction, Frank was blessed with many friends, as we are blessed to have had him in our lives. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, James and Caroline Weston, his siblings Genevieve Gehl and James Weston, and his loving wife Dolly. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his sisters, Mary Fitzgerald and Joanne Liebig; his children Francine Froment, Kathleen Jensen, Maureen Weston, Joe Weston, and Christine Weston Dimitriou; and his grandchildren, Phillip Froment, Jamie and Julia Jensen, Jesse Fears, and Cedric Halloran.
