Frank was preceded in death Sept. 16, 2016 by his loving and beloved wife of 68 years, Marriotte (Stedman). Frank was a loving, funny, supportive husband, father and grandfather. He was an educator for 38 years, first as an elementary school teacher, then an associate professor of education at his alma mater, State College of Education Brockport NY. After earning his M.A. and Ed.D. at New York University, Frank joined the central administration of the State University of New York in Albany, where he retired as Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education. Frank was devoted to SUNY Brockport, serving many roles in the Alumni Association and attending the annual class reunion celebrations. Frank loved all types of music, especially classical, opera and Brazilian bossa-nova and samba. He was a fan of mid-Century Modern architecture and design. He and Marriotte were proud of the contemporary Techbuilt home they built in Delmar, where they lived for 47 years, as well their period furniture, home goods and decorative arts. Upon retirement, Frank and Marriotte traveled in their RV, towing a car, throughout the US, Canada and Mexico where they had many adventures and met many wonderful new friends.
