Frank Reale, Jr.

June 8, 1925 — May 5, 2010

Frank Reale was born June 8, 1925 in the Denver neighborhood of Elyria and was raised around the North Washington area of Welby. He departed May 5, 2010 at his home in Denver after a long battle with respiratory illness and congestive heart failure. He attended Retreat Park schools and graduated from Union High School in 1943 (later called Adams City High) in Commerce City. He married Judy in 1968 and spent the next 42 years in the Pearl Mack neighborhood. He's survived by his wife Judy; daughter Jody; grandchildren Sophie Preiser, D.J. Vurciaga, Ronnette Arellano, Mellissa Maestas; great-grandchildren Adrian and Angelo Arellano, Alejandra Aguilar; and sisters Leona Treloar, Betty Combs, and Albina Spera. He's preceded in death by stepdaughter Gayle Vurciaga; brother Pasquale ""Bo"" Reale, sister Marie Weiman, and parents Rose Reale (Ciancio) and Frank Reale, Sr. Frank served Adams County Public Works for over 20 years, after having worked in farming, construction, sales, bartending and working in the family businesses. He was an avid bowler, traveler, outdoorsman, and lifelong fisherman. Mass and service will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Welby.
