Frank H. Shafroth

August 20, 1925 — May 23, 2017

Frank H. Shafroth, an attorney and long-time civic leader in Denver, died on May 23, 2017. Mr. Shafroth served on the U.S. Intrepid during World War II before earning his law degree at the University of Denver and becoming a partner at Shafroth & Toll. He was a leader in the American Red Cross, active as a leader in the Colorado Republican Party, and he was a strong supporter and contributor to the Denver Public Library system. During his career, he crossed lines in seeking to ensure that Denver's schools were integrated—and, for many years was involved in the former Colorado Speaking Contest. An avid mountain climber, skier, and tennis player—and father, he left a legacy of community commitment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Denver Public Library or the American Red Cross. Please share memories of Frank and condolences with his family by signing the guestbook below.
