Frank H. Shafroth, an attorney and long-time civic leader in Denver, died on May 23, 2017. Mr. Shafroth served on the U.S. Intrepid during World War II before earning his law degree at the University of Denver and becoming a partner at Shafroth & Toll. He was a leader in the American Red Cross, active as a leader in the Colorado Republican Party, and he was a strong supporter and contributor to the Denver Public Library system. During his career, he crossed lines in seeking to ensure that Denver's schools were integratedâand, for many years was involved in the former Colorado Speaking Contest. An avid mountain climber, skier, and tennis playerâand father, he left a legacy of community commitment.
