Frankie Beryl Faust Kirschenheuter Morel, age 94, passed away at Arvada, Colorado on February 1, 2020.
Frankie was born on August 29, 1925 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was a long-time resident of Chalmette, Louisiana before moving to Michigan following Hurricane Katrina. Frankie, and her daughter and son-in-law then relocated to Colorado in 2006 where she cherished the last years of her life near her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frankie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kirschenheuter Resner (Bill), her son, Gary P. Kirschenheuter (Melinda), grandchildren Thomas E. Kirschenheuter (Melissa), Jacob F. Kirschenheuter and Elizabeth K. Kirschenheuter, great grandsons, Henry J. Kirschenheuter and Nolan E. Kirschenheuter, from Arvada, Colorado. She is also survived by her sister, Geraldine Faust Grush, nieces, Judy Faust Matulich, Barbara Findorff Calcagno, JoAnn Heinrich Lyons and Debbie Frey Hall, nephews Alvin ""Bobby"" Findorff, Frank Heinrich, Donald Faust, Jr., Kevin Findorff, and a host of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Faust Eunice Roth Faust, her husband by first marriage, Frederick J. Kirschenheuter, Jr., husband by second marriage, Arnold Morel, grandson, Robert ""Buzz"" Kentzel, III, sisters, Iris Mae Faust Findorff Fayard and Betty Heinrich, brother, Donald J. Faust and nephew, Michael J. Findorff.
Frankie graduated from St. Mary's Dominican College in New Orleans, Louisiana 1943 with a degree in Home Economics. After graduation, she taught high school classes and worked in a clerical position. After she married, she was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom while raising her children. Once the children were grown, and after working in retail for several years, Frankie saw an opportunity to follow her passion to become a seamstress for a bridal shop in Chalmette, Louisiana. Since she always enjoyed sewing, needlecraft, and meeting people, this was a perfect position for her. She absolutely loved her craft, embraced her customers and made many new friends and acquaintances along the way.
There will be two separate memorial services in her honor:
Relatives and friends in Colorado are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003.
Relatives and friends in Louisiana are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Frankie will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
We want to acknowledge and offer a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Mountain Vista Health Center and Brookdale Hospice for their excellent care, love and compassion shown to Frankie and our family during her time spent there, and especially during her last days. We were so very blessed to have them care for her!
