Franklin Pearson Shutts, Jr.

Franklin Pearson Shutts, Jr., 78, resident of Littleton, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at Morning Star Senior Living. Frank was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 10, 1930 as the only child of Mabel and Franklin Shutts, Sr. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He blessed every life he touched with his wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed. Frank served in the Air Force and then became an accomplished Architect and Chief Specification writer contributing his talents to several hospitals, schools and residences in the Colorado area. He is survived by his children, Mike (Mary), Steve, Dianne (Martin) Marlow, John; grandchildren Curtis Prize, Nathan Shutts, and Marisa Shutts. Frank is also survived by numerous cousins and other loving relatives. A visitation for all his family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado, 80122. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Kenneth Leone on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 South Monaco Parkway, Denver, Colorado, 80222, with a reception following. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Samaritan House of Denver, 2301 Lawrence Street, Denver, Colorado, 80205 or Little Sisters of the Poor, 3629 West 29th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80211.
