Fredrick ""Fred"" John Greeb

November 18, 1941 — November 9, 2015

Fredrick Greeb was born November 18, 1941 and entered into eternal life on November 9, 2015. He is preceded in death by his mother Wilhelmine and father Alexander Greeb and his daughter Michelle Ann. He is survived by his loving wife JoAnn, his brothers Charles (Madeline) and Henry (Jeannette) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He attended schools in Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado, graduating from East Denver High School in 1959 and received BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Denver. He was employed by Martin Marietta (later Lockheed Martin) as well as other technology firms in the Denver area, generally working with computers. One of the projects he worked on at Martin was the Tethered Satellite System. Fred and JoAnn celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2014. During their life together, they enjoyed traveling throughout the world, gardening and cheering on the Rockies and Broncos. Fred particularly enjoyed baseball, going to spring training and regular season games and he had attended a game at each of the 30 MLB ballparks. In addition to being a sports fan, Fred also volunteered at events such as the Jefferson County Library Book Sales and the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. Around home, he built and maintained a backyard fish pond stocked with koi. For many years, he and JoAnn had Dalmations for company at home. Photography was also a favorite hobby of Fred's, from high school days until the present, which fit well with his interest in traveling. Fred will be missed by many people that he had known in the Denver area as well as throughout the country . A Memorial Service in Fred's honor will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Eleven O'Clock in the Morning at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. A reception will follow the service at the Horan & McConaty Reception Center.
