Gail M. Rhoades

Gail M. Rhoades, 56, of Denver, Colorado passed away on May 19, 2012 after a courageous battle with MS. Preceded in death by her father Phillip Halverson, mother Dorothy Halverson and two brothers, Phillip and Jeffery. Loving wife of Patrick Rhoades. Mother of Patrick (PJ) Rhoades, Corinna (Cori) Rhoades, Nicole Rhoades and Nicholas Rhoades. Sister of Doug (Linda) Halverson, Randy (Judy) Halverson, Julie Halverson (Loren), Eric (Lynn) Halverson. Gail is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Gail was born in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin. She graduated in 1974 from Prairie Du Chien High school. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, with a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Science, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice 1979. Gail moved to Colorado in the mid 1980's. She married Patrick M. Rhoades on March 19, 1991. Gail was a homemaker. The most important thing in Gail's life was family. Gail loved cooking, home decorating, taking pictures of her family, and cheering for her children at sporting event. She volunteered for Girl Scouts, participated in fundraising for schools including coordinating many craft fairs, and loved being team mom for swim team, softball, baseball, basketball, and football. She was above all a devoted mother and wife. A celebration of Gail's life will be Thursday, May 24, 2012, 7:00pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for Gail's children. Memorials may be sent to Horan & McConaty in the Patrick Rhoades family name.
