Bud Erickson, aged 86, suffered a major stroke on Friday, March 11, 2016 and passed on Friday, March 18, 2016. Bud is preceded in death by three sisters: Martha Kemmerer, Grace Wilhite and Virginia Davis. He is survived by three children: Craig A Erickson (wife, Sharon) Patricia J Erickson, and Jan R Combs (husband, Rodney) and a younger sister Karen Peterson. Bud was also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren Kirstin Erickson (deceased), Scott Foos, Eric Combs, Michael Foos, and Kathryn Shearer, and seven great grandchildren. Bud was born August 10, 1929 in Ogden, Iowa to parents Henrietta and Alvin Erickson. He married his lovely wife, Deloris Laidley in November 1949. In 1958, he and his wife, Deloris and their three children moved to Colorado, originally locating in Wheat Ridge and subsequently moving to Littleton where they lived for over thirty years. Bud Erickson was a successful entrepreneur owning several gas stations, a flower shop, a car wash and a liquor store. He enjoyed attending Bronco games and was a season ticket holder since 1963. Bud also enjoyed traveling to Europe and Hawaii. He loved Mexican food and a cold beer on a summer afternoon. His grandchildren fondly remember his affection for Crown Royal and Coke, his insistence on ""cleaning your plate"" and his soft spot for dogs. His passing has left a large hole in our hearts ~ A Committal Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Relatives and friends are welcome at the burial and a life celebration immediately following at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard, Arvada, Colorado.
