Gary Carter

Gary Robert Carter, age 82, died at Denver Hospice Hospital on March 24, 2023. The cause of death was complication of pneumonia.

Gary was born December 10, 1940 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Aurora, Colorado on Elmira and Montview. He attended school through twleth grade in Aurora and recieved his degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado in 1965.

Gary was married to Carla Capra on July 19, 1964. They lived in Arvada, Colorado; Washington D.C; Alexandria, Virginia; Dillon, Colorado and Heather Gardens in Aurora.

He worked as an architect for the Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C from 1965-1997.Gary was a master wood worker, a home renovator and a sailor for many years. He also loved to listen to and play classical music and jazz.

His wife, Carla, was his primary survivor. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Maxine and his sister, Carolyn Jarmon.

Services will be held at Horan and McConaty on Parker Road and East Dartmouth Avenue in Denver, Colorado on April 15th, 2023 at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow at the same location.

Gary will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
