Gary Lynn Jones

Gary Lynn Jones passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018. He was born January 28, 1947 in Layton, Utah to Ruth and George Jones. Gary grew up in Utah, went to University of Utah, moved to Washington to Oregon and back to Washington for work, but then spent the last 32 years in Colorado. Gary is survived by his son Scott Jones, daughter Marci McKoane and grandson Jackson McKoane and beloved dog Lucy. He is preceded in death by both his parents. Gary is going to be cremated Sunday, April 22 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home and his ashes will be scattered in the mountains of Colorado on Monday, April 23. There will be no funeral services as our dad requested a simple cremation with no service. However, we will be having a celebration of his life sometime in May for his friends and family to gather and remember what a great man Gary was and his passion for life and laughter, his long career in the carpet industry, his love of dogs, guns, politics, the stock market, Starbucks, and of course his loving and wonderful friends. Gary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We are compiling a list of friends to invite to Gary’s celebration of life but please include your email on the online guest register so we are sure to include you. In lieu of flowers or donations or tears, please share a fun memory of Gary with friends and loved ones to keep his memory alive and give your parents, kids and friends a hug and let them know how much you love them. The Celebration of Gary's Life will be held Thursday, May 17, 4:00-8:00 at Maggiano's DTC
