Gary Lee Marr

Gary Lee Marr was born and raised in Denver, CO on March 23, 1946 to David and Betty Marr. He passed away in Northglenn, CO on October 11, 2019 at the age of 73.

He attended Merritt Hutton High School in Thornton, CO., where he set a track record. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly dedicated 20 years of his life to serving his country during which he had a tour in Vietnam. He honorably retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years and dedicated the next 20 years serving other airmen and brothers in arms as a civil service member. The opportunities the Air Force provided allowed him to travel and meet people all over the globe from Europe to Asia.

While traveling abroad in the Air Force he was stationed in Korea which led to his union with the love of his life, Mae Ha Chon.

He dedicated his life to his wife, Mae Ha Marr, and his sons, Scott Chon Marr, Michael Lee Marr and Gary Lee Stewart Marr Jr. from his previous marriage to Anita Abel.

Gary was a dedicated, hard working, patient man who had his own way of showing those he loved that he cared.

Gary is survived by his sons Gary (Molly) Stewart Marr Jr. of Oakley, KS., Scott (Veronica) Marr of Broomfield, CO., and Michael Marr of Thornton, CO. Brothers Greg (Kathy) Marr of Henderson, CO., David (Annell) Marr of Pueblo, CO., and sister Kay (Terry) Miller of Houston, TX. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Marr, parents David and Betty Marr, sister Betty Gail Marr, and twin brother Ronald Marr.

Viewing and service will be held at 1600 on Monday, October 21^st, 2019 at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home located at 9998 Grant Street Thornton, CO. Burial services will be held at 1200 on Tuesday, October 22^nd, 2019 at Fort Logan National Cemetery located at 4400 W Kenyon Avenue Denver, CO.
